Best Sellers: fall semester

Best Sellers is an English elective offered fall semester to all high school students. The course offers opportunities to demonstrate proficiency in all ELA reading proficiencies and select ( but minimal) writing proficiencies. Multiple Habits of Success are available as well, including portions of the Literacy Habits of Success.

As a class, we will select books mainly from the NY Times Best Sellers List, as well as explore some works from earlier eras in literature.

The goal of this class is to select engaging books of the classes' choice and have fun sharing the experience of reading and discovering.

Assessment is in the form of class discussion and written reflections.
