These sites have audiobooks you can listen to or download for free.
Sound too good to be true? Most audiobooks that are available for free legally are either in the public domain or have a Creative Commons license. If you like classics, or if a book you are reading in English class is available, this is good news for you!
Other options, like ListenUp Vermont and Sync, have newer titles; details on how to use these services are below.
The Brown Public Library, as a member of the Green Mountain Library Consortium, provides a downloadable e-book and audio book service for library patrons. You'll need your Brown Public Library card number to download. You will also need the (free) OverDrive app to download and listen to the books. |

SYNC is a free summer audiobook program for teens 13+ (or anyone who enjoys YA books). The 2020 season lasts 13 weeks and runs from April 30 - July 29, 2020. SYNC 2020 will give away 26 titles - two paired audiobook downloads a week! You have to download them during the week they are made available, but then they are yours to keep and listen to anytime. You will need the (free) app to download and listen to the books. |
