Use the menu on the side and click "Inventors" to find brief biographies of several well-known inventors. Includes links to other invention sites and sites about the featured inventors. This is from the Smithsonian Institution website. 

Gale Virtual Reference Library (GVRL)

One of the Vermont Online Library (VOL) databases, the GVRL is a collection of reference books. Search for your invention and your results will be a list of articles from different reference sources. When you open an article, you'll see your search term highlighted everywhere it appears, making it easy to scan through the article for relevant information.

While the above sources each cover more than one of the topics for this project, many other sources in the GVRL cover individual topics, so be sure to do a search through the whole collection for your topic.

 

Biography in Context

Another of the Vermont Online Library (VOL) databases, this one is just biographies. Search for your inventor and you'll end up with a good, authoritative resource. Oh, and did I mention that any article on the VOL comes with a source citation already formatted for you (and exportable to EasyBib as well)??
