NEASC Documents and Information

Northfield Middle & High School has been accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) since 1955.  Founded in 1885, the NEASC has been working to establish and maintain high standards for all levels of education – from Pre-Kindergarten to the doctoral level - longer than any other accreditation agency in the United States.

NEASC is an independent, voluntary, nonprofit membership organization which connects and serves over 2,000 public and independent schools, technical and career institutions, colleges, and universities in New England plus International Schools in more than 65 nations worldwide. A globally recognized standard of excellence, NEASC Accreditation attests to a school’s high quality and integrity. The four NEASC commissions decide matters of accreditation in the context of research-driven standards reviewed by their membership.

Below you will find documents and correspondence from NEASC and related to our school.  In the spring of 2017 Northfield Middle & High School hosted their decennial re-accreditation visit.  The visiting team was comprised of twelve educators from around New England.  They produced a report that provided third party oversigt to our school's adherance to the NEASC Standards of Accreditation; those areas are Mission, Vision and Core Values, Curriculum, Instruction, Assessment, Leadership, School Resources for Learning, and Community Resources for Learning.  The report from their visit is found below.
